Men can be difficult to buy Valentine’s Day gifts for. You don’t need to get common gifts such as ties and socks when shopping for a gift for your husband or boyfriend. Most men see the event as an occasion focused more around women, but more often than not a woman likes to buy gifts for the man in her life on Valentine’s Day. Guys don’t tend to respond in the same way as women when they are sent a bunch of long-stemmed red roses from their partner, so what exactly do you get them?

Fragrance

Men’s cologne is a great option to give your man on Valentine’s Day, especially if your partner isn’t likely to buy this kind of thing for himself. There’s a range of price points when it comes to cologne, so no matter what your budget, you’ll be able to find something perfect for your man and your wallet. And don’t forget, if you’re buying the fragrance, not only will it be a nice present for him on Valentine’s Day, but you’ll get to enjoy it, too, long after the “day of love” has passed.

Gift Vouchers

Many people don’t like to give gift vouchers because they feel they are impersonal; however, gift vouchers can be just as thoughtful as a physical gift if you put some effort into it. Have a think about some of your man’s favorite things. If you’re going on vacation together, is there an activity he wants to do there? Does he play a sport or have a favorite team you could buy tickets for? If he’s a foodie, is there a restaurant he absolutely loves? Simply by taking a look at his hobbies, interests, and upcoming events, you’ll easily be able to find a gift voucher that will be well received.

Flowers

If you do decide to get flowers, there are some “manly” options. These can include cacti, foliage and greenery arrangements, and even Venus fly traps. Although these technically aren’t flowers, they still can be delivered and are often quite popular with guys.

Homemade Gifts

One of the cheapest Valentine’s Day gifts you can give the man in your life is something you’ve made with your own two hands. If you are artistically inclined, it could be a painting of a special place or a picture of the two of you or a scrapbook of your most important memories. While guys generally don’t like mushy stuff, he might appreciate the walk down memory lane. You might also consider a wall photo frame with a montage of pictures of the two of you or his family.

Getting your special man a special gift for Valentine’s Day will truly bring more meaning to your relationship. You need not spend a whole lot to make him smile and warm him with your love. You just have to give it some thought and think of something that will let your love for him shine through.
