Getting married is a special time and at the end of one year of marriage most people will start to think of a suitable anniversary gift for their partner. A traditional first-year anniversary present is made of paper and a few gifts for the man in your life can include some of the following.

Tickets

Buying tickets for an event or a trip can be a good idea for a gift. This can be for a favorite sporting event of his, a concert featuring his favorite group or even a movie and a meal. Train or flight tickets to a favorite destination of his are also a good idea. All you need to give him on the morning of the anniversary are the tickets, with the fun part to be enjoyed on the day itself or in the following weeks.

Love Letter

Write your husband a great love letter on some scented paper. Tell him how you feel about him and how wonderful the first year of marriage has been. This is a personal gift and will let your man know that you love him even more after a year of being together.

Picture Frame and Photos

Get some nice picture frames and some good photos of yourself and also of both of you together. Once you have given these to him on the day of your anniversary, they can be displayed around your home for you both to enjoy.

Books

Many people enjoy reading books and if this is the case for your man, buy him some books by his favorite authors as a first anniversary gift. This is something he can appreciate and that will give him hours of enjoyment.

Anniversary Journal

Buy your man a journal and ask him to make note of the presents you bought for each other and the way you celebrated the day. Make a vow to do the same for every anniversary in the future so that you can keep the memories of how you spent these days together.

Magazine Subscription

Most men have a hobby or hobbies and a magazine subscription for a year that covers the topic of his passion is a great idea for a gift.

Picnic

Arrange a surprise picnic for the day, if your anniversary is in the summer months, and use paper cups and plates. You can go to a special location and have a great day out together.

Stationery

Stationery is an excellent and also practical present for the first anniversary. Buying him some good writing paper and pens will make a great gift.

Tree

As paper comes from trees, buy one for your man to plant in the garden. As the years pass you can watch the tree grow and blossom. The first anniversary of a marriage is a special time and the traditional anniversary gift is made of paper.
