Homemade Thank You Gifts

Anybody can walk into a store, pick up something, pay for it, and give it as a gift. Men do it all the time. From the gift given for the forgotten anniversary to the gift given to say “I’m Sorry,” store-bought gifts have mended some relationships. However, to have true, lasting friendships, homemade gifts are definitely the answer. Homemade “thank you” gifts may seem time-consuming, but these gifts are from the heart, and the man you give them to will realize this.
Since the beginning of time, men have been known to have hearty appetites. Men are not supposed to watch their weight, worry about the calories in a meal, or be concerned about how much fat was used in a recipe. That is why the best “thank you” gift to give to a man would have to be the most obvious: food. Food can really mean a lot to a man, especially a man who is single. Taking the time to bake him a home-cooked meal—salad, main course, and dessert—may be the most thoughtful gift he has ever had given to him. There are many talented cooks who are men, but sometimes it’s nice to not have to slave away behind an oven for hours cooking. Food can even be beneficial to a married man. You can can (as in canning) jelly and give it to him to put on his favorite bread product. Baking him some cookies or some type of dessert item is probably one that he will never forget. Married men even like to receive something as simple as a six-pack just for themselves.
Another thing that can be given as a homemade “thank you” gift is a selection of monogrammed handkerchiefs that you have taken the time to sew his name on. Even though handkerchiefs may be out of style, something with his name on it will make him feel appreciated. Every time he pulls it out, whether to blow his nose or wipe car grease off his hands, he’ll remember who gave it to him.
And lastly, the best and most affordable homemade gift that you can give is a hand-knitted/crocheted blanket. This is a perfect gift for those men who travel a lot. They can use it as a pillow or blanket if they sleep in their car. Some can even use it on their favorite chair at home, when they just relax. Granted, you will need to learn how to crochet or knit before you give this as a gift, but the end result will be rewarding.
