Every year when it comes time to choose a gift for your man you probably spend a lot of time trying to figure out what to get him. Gift buying is never that easy, but what can help is looking at it from a different angle. Sometimes the common gift choices are just not going to cut it. Maybe he already has everything. Maybe he is just not the type of guy who would love to get a scrapbook of your romance. That is okay. Not every guy is going to be easy to buy for.
What you have to do is find a unique gift for your guy. There are plenty of ideas floating around about how to choose a unique gift, but those common ideas get old fast. How about trying something more off-the-wall? How about making this gift something he will remember forever? How do you do that? Use humor.
Humor is something everyone loves. If you can make him laugh about the gift then he will never forget it. Sometimes called gag gifts, humorous gifts are always welcomed. People love to laugh and giving the gift of humor is truly unique.
The first thing to do when choosing a humorous gift is to consider his sense of humor. You really want the gift to be something that will make him laugh and that will tickle his funny bone. Remember, what one person sees as funny may not be funny to someone else. You know him well, though, so you should know what would make him laugh and what would not.
You can do a search online to get some great ideas. There are gift ideas that range from classic to adult. Look through the different products so you can see what is available before you make the final choice. Do not settle on something just because you cannot find what you really want. The idea is to find the perfect humorous gift, not just something that will be okay.
Make sure that you keep the gift a secret. You want him to open it and be completely surprised. Wrap it up as soon as you get it and hide it well. You don’t want to ruin the surprise by having him find it earlier.
The gift should not be something that you have to explain. You want him to know right away that it is a humorous gift. However, you may want to add a card to the gift that tells him you do care and that you chose this gift because you knew he would love it. Sometimes when you give a gag gift the person thinks it is a joke and thinks there is a "real" gift somewhere else. Giving a card with the gift can help avoid this awkward situation.
Giving a humorous gift is not going to be the perfect choice in every situation. You have to really think about your man and whether he would appreciate it. If you are sure that he would love a humorous gift, then go ahead. It is sure to be a gift that he won’t soon forget.
