Giving that special someone a homemade gift is definitely a gesture that will be treasured. Gifts that were made by your efforts and ideas are by far the most thoughtful. Like most of us always say, “it’s the thought that counts.” But most women find it very hard to come up with things that will put an appreciative smile on a man’s face. The problem with the modern gift-giving trends is that most people who are giving gifts think the recipient will expect the most in terms of worth or value. To think that the most expensive gift will be best appreciated is really shamefully wide of the mark.

“The best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” It is true sometimes, especially if that man is very meticulous when it comes to things that he puts in his mouth. Learn to cook. Better yet, learn to cook well. It will not only benefit every man that you come across in life but it will benefit you the most.
What is even better than a homemade dinner is sharing it with the one you cooked it for in the first place. Fine dining can be done by almost anyone while in an overly crowded room with people watching as if waiting for that one big bite. A scrapbook is one of the best homemade gifts men can receive. Men in general have the tendency to ignore past events and move on with their lives. They most often than not forget to set aside pictures, important notes, small gifts from previous events, etc., for safe keeping. Surprising him with your homemade scrapbook harking back to the old happy days will definitely put that smile you hanker for on his face.
Make Him a Music CD
You know your man better than anyone. Better than his own family, even. Having him listen to the music he wants puts him in his best mood. The key is knowing what kind of music your guy most likely listens too when in a bad mood. When men are in a bad mood, in general, they want to be left alone. And what is better than being alone in a room listening to your favorite music and pondering anything but bad things. This can turn even the worst mood around.
